BMW's M6 GT3s are being delivered

GT racing might not be a phenomenon here but it is overseas. Private teams backed by Manufacturers enjoy themselves to the core in the crucible of motorsport. Almost entire European car industry participates and goes head to head in the competition.

One of remarkable manufacturer of them all is bavarian motor giant, BMW. They recently unvieled their contender for the season, the BMW M6 GT3. And it is the mother of big wings. It will be the replacement for ageing BMW Z4 GT3, which was awesome.

Hardware wise, M6 GT3 is powered by the same 4.4L, TwinPower Turbo V8 found in the M5 and M6. But is race-tuned and restricted to generate 'just'  577bhp compared to M6 Competition's 600. So this winged racer is slightly down on the power but it has gained in the weight-loss and aero. M6 GT3 racer tipps the scale at just 1300 Kgs and produces enough downforce, you can drive it way faster than you ever imagined. It's also been slammed to the floor on race springs, gained a big chin spoiler, a more central seating position for the driver, endless array of slats, FIA approved safety cell and lot more race car things.

Schubert Motorsport, ROWE Motorsport, Walkenhorst Motorsport, BMW Sports Trophy Team Studie, Team Alnex, BMW Team SRM and Bouten Ginion Racing got their hands on their own BMW M6 GT3 last week. We assume these guys might be having fun seting up and testing their wing giant.

For the people who want to drive this can should found their way in Forza. And while you scroll through the imagery, we are trying to see if we can use M6 GT3's wing as a runway for our RC Boeing.
