BMW's reason for not making the M7 is here

Many of us with OCD, scroll through BMW's product line up and think maybe they should make the M7 too. But BMW doesn't do that because there is a reason. And that reason is called as BMW M760Li XDrive. In other words 'move over poor person' or 'the fastest, most expensive, most powerful car BMW makes.'

So everyone, This is BMW's answer to S63 AMG, S8 Audi and the similar likes. It has a 6.6L, 600bhp, Twin Turbo, all aluminium, V12 that takes the flagship bimmer from 0-60 in just 3.9 seconds. A handy bit of kit, if you are a businessman who's habit is to be late everywhere he goes.

But this time, this G12 7 Series is a bit different. Unlike previous generations, it is tweaked by 'M Performance' and uses one blower for each side of the cylinder. Couple that to BMW's Double-VANOS and High Precision Fuel Injection systems and you have 294g/km of the CO2 and 9.52 Kmpl. Which is pretty impressive considering the size of the engine. And because BMW's M Performance division (Not M Gmbh, that makes BMW's M cars) worked its magic on this 7 Series there are lot of M badges around and in the name. Hence its M760Li.

The relentless 600 horses and their pulling power is transmitted to road via an 8 Speed automatic with peddle shifter and XDrive four wheel drive system with defined rear bias. And there is Launch Control fitted as standard. It also has flaps in its quad exhaust, so you'll be able to hear as it is coming.

The suspension is fitted with M Performance's air suspension with Dynamic Damper Control and Dynamic Drive to reduce body roll and increase comfort. Or to tighten things up if you need to show some supercar driving kid his actual place.

Like the standard 7er the M760Li Xdrive do have a tech fest on board. Cameras that scan the road ahead and adjust the suspension, so you won't spill your drink. Gesture control, so you wave hands in the cabin and then car gets things done for you; like, calling someone or increasing-decreasing volume. The list just goes on and on and on. Like, adaptive LED headlights with anti-dazzle, keyless comfort access, rain sensors, dynamic safety, electric front and rear seats and enough Merino Leather to re-skin entire heard.

There is another version called BMW M760Li XDrive V12 Excellence Design, if you want to keep your performance orientation to your sports cars only. An extensive and expensive list of options available as you may expect but how much is still a thing to guess. We can expect final pricing as it goes on sale by the end of this year.

Till then, we are taking out our maps and see where to take this V12 barge on a test drive. And if you get one, don't tinker with the name badge and make it look M7. Now everybody knows there is no M7.
